When you receive the bad news from your vet - that your dog is sick - sometimes you need someone to talk to. Often your vet has not given you many options, or maybe you just need help in understanding what the technical terms or the lab results means.
We have a specially trained staff that may be able to help. We can make suggestions on specialty diets, conventional and alternative treatment options, and how to find a specialist in your area. Obviously we cannot give you specific advice for treatment of your dog in most cases, but we have accumulated information on thousands of canine cancer cases that we can share with you.
In most cases your dog must be examined prior to any treatment counseling. We can help you understand the options and what type of specialist you will need to find to give your dog the best possible chance of getting the best treatment possible. We also maintain a listing of specialists in most areas of the country that we can share with you.
If we can help in this way, please feel free to call us. We have staff on call to answer questions from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, PST. If you need an answer outside of those hours, we have a 24 hr answering service that will take your name and number so we can call you back the following day.
